Yes......NO!!!!!
As my son Robin has now moved into his house he's taken his Sky Plus (which he paid for) with him. At the moment we still get all the channels but we only have a secondary box not the Sky Plus one. So at the beginning of December Roy phoned and made arrangements for us to have one installed. As you can imagine they were very busy with people wanting things for Christmas so he said it was no problem for us to wait. They said great, we'll make an appointment now for the 17 January, it's nice and quiet then.
Obviously we have the satellite dish and all the cables so it was just a case of fitting a Sky Plus box. So yesterday morning we were up bright and early in anticipation but by midday we were beginning to get a bit impatient. I was talking to Gill and she said, "Haven't they rung to say what time approximately they will be there?" "No, they haven't...." I called out to Roy who was in our garage working on his Morris Minor which came back from it's respray on Friday (oh, that's another story I'll tell you about, one day!) and he rang customer services. He finally managed to speak to a supervisor who could find no trace of our appointment. We had a letter confirming that we had joined Sky Plus and sent off their Direct Debit form to them. A few more words of exchange but the outcome was that nobody came to install our box.
So now we're looking at having Virgin come instead. Wish us luck!!!
