This tour seems to be flying by.  Here we are back at home after a brilliant time in Scotland.  We flew Easyjet from Stansted to Edinburgh on Tuesday morning - the plane left early and arrived ahead of schedule so no complaints there.  We hired a car and were soon on our way to Glasgow to meet up with MBFC's US Co-ordinator Pat Webb and other friends.  After checking in we went to the stage door and waited, and waited, and waited.  Michael was doing an interview on a Scottish TV programme so would be late.  After what seemed like forever, he came striding down the road from the TV studios, said a quick hi and went in.

There was confusion about the starting time of this concert.  Most people's tickets said Doors 8.00 pm although everyone, including Michael and Andrew said the show was starting at 7.30.  Just to be on the safe side we had a quick bite to eat and headed back to the Clyde Auditorium in time for 7.30.  The theatre was only about half full by the time 7.30 came and there was an announcement that "due to heavy football traffic" the start would be delayed until 8.00 pm.  Hmm, I don't think so - that seemed like a very hand excuse!

The show, of course, was worth waiting for and Michael thrilled the Glasgow audience with his spectacular show, making fun of the security staff who had positioned themselves facing the audience in both aisles.  Luckily for them they moved before the start of party time, but this kind of security seems a bit excessive to me for a Michael Ball concert.

Next morning we headed off to Edinburgh, with four people in the car plus luggage we realised just how much you can squeeze into a small car (a Nissan Note) but we managed it and arrived at Edinburgh by midday.  After checking in to the hotel we had a little rest and again headed to the stage door.  Not so long to wait this time and Michael spent quite some time chatting and signing autographs before heading in to the stage door.

The show at Edinburgh was just as good as every other show so far on this tour.

Thursday we headed back home - again an on-time smooth flight.  We like Edinburgh airport, you can get an Indian Head Massage while waiting for your flight, which is very relaxing.

We're back home now and it's the Ipswich concert on Monday.  We've head that Michael's had to cut two songs from the set list to rest his voice a little, so we're hoping that once he's done his radio programme he doesn't talk to anyone for the rest of the day!  Ipswich is, of course, our local venue so it's always a special concert for us, and we have our uncle and aunt as well as several friends coming along.
