Well, it's been a few weeks since I did a Blog entry, so I thought it was about time I did another one.

It's been a rather busy couple of weeks with the tour dates going on sale, and the launch of Michael's new album.  This week Michael has been busy promoting the album and we've been lucky enough to be present at some of the live interviews.  Firstly, there was the Alan Titchmarsh show on Wednesday, which is transmitted from the BBC TV centre at White City.  It's a bit of a trek across London but there was the added appeal of the new Westfield shopping centre which is almost opposite the studios.  It has the most amazing car park I've ever been in with green lights showing where theere are parking spaces, and red lights where they are occupied.

The show was fun and we found ourselves right at the very front where Michael sang  Impossible Dream - a very nice place to be!  It was absolutely amazing and can't wait to see the reaction when he does it during the tour (he can't possibly not do it, can he??!!)

We had tickets for the Wright Stuff on Friday morning, and as you have to be at the studio at 8 am we decided to stay up in London the night before and catch a show.  We decided on La Cage Aux Folles which is indeed excellent.  We had seen it at the Chocolate Factory in 2007 but as Maureen didn't have much of a recollection of it following her illness we decided it would be good to see it again.

An early start on Friday saw us at the studios in Whiteleys Shopping Centre (there seems to be a recurring theme here !) for the Wright Stuff.  Very friendly staff gave us coffee and chatted to us before we were taken into the very small studio.  The show was excellent - Michael seemed to enjoy participating in the discussions.

We were going to the recording of the song from Hairspray for Let's Dance For Comic Relief at the Ealing studios in the afternoon.  Again we found ourselves parking in a shopping centre!  It was only 5 minutes walk from the studios so we headed there and joined the fans that were already there waiting to be taken in.  Eventually they took us in and gave us drinks while we were waiting to go into the studio.  They took us in and the Hairspray cast performed You Can't Stop the Beat twice while we danced and clapped along.  It was great to catch up with some fan club members that we hadn't seen for quite a long while and made us look forward to seeing everyone on the forthcoming tour.

So now it's Saturday morning and I have a heap of emails and work to catch up with, so I'd better leave it there for now.
