Wow - what can I say about the West Wycombe concert last night?  What a fantastic night out and how wonderful to be able to share Michael's birthday with him in the best possible way by hearing him sing his heart out on an English summer's evening.  We had decided to treat ourselves and go for the VIP experience and I'm glad we did.  Not being a lover of the queue all day, dash for the front concert experience, to be able to book a reserved seat and have food served in a marquee certainly made it a much less stressful experience.  I must say though, that having spoken to the people who were at the front of the queue (having got there at 7 am!) they said they'd had a good day with the organisers of the event being very helpful.  When it came to time for the gates to open they let a few people in at a time so that no one had to run and everyone got their places in the correct order.

Michael was on top form, looking and sounding great.  He said it was nice to be performing in men's clothese for a change and of course we have lots more of that to look forward to in September/October.

I must make special mention of the spectacular firework display at the end of the concert, culminating in a "Happy Birthday Michael" illuminated in fireworks - what a special night!
